        Plastic extrusion is a process in which plastics are continuously made into semi-finished products of different shapes through the interaction between the cylinder wall of plastic extruder and the rubber screw. Extrusion process is also called pressure out process, it is widely used in the manufacture of tread, inner tube, hose and a variety of cross section shape complex or hollow, solid semi-finished products. It can also be used for plastic filtration, granulation, plastic refining and the linkage of the upper and lower processes, such as the supplementary mixing under the mixer, hot refining after the calender rubber supply, etc.

        After the plastic enters the plastic extruder to form a viscous fluid, the axial force generated by the rotation of the screw further pushes the plastic forward, and the plastic further homogenizes and melts, just like ordinary nuts moving along the axial direction. But different from the nut movement, plastic is a viscoelastic material, in the process of moving along the screw, due to mechanical and thermal action, its viscosity changes, gradually from sticky elastic body into viscous fluid. Therefore, the movement of plastic in the plastic extruder is like the flow of fluid, that is to say, the movement of plastic in the plastic extruder has the characteristics of solid axial movement, and the characteristics of fluid flow.
